Started with K'Naan...I was ordering tix for a Stephen and Damian Marley Concert at the Warfield in SF and the opening act was K'Naan.
I didn't know who he was. Just that he was an artist from Somalia. I asked a friend who is Somalian if he knew of K'Naan. He said that he was a really good artist.

So, I went online and bought K'Naan's cd. LOVE EVERY SONG!!!!
I blast it every day when I'm getting ready for work in the morning.
Anyways, started looking online for more music or dvd's featuring K'Naan and ran into this site...
Didn't join until recently but, glad I did.
It is very important to me to listen to conscious music, to give back and to do what is within my reach to create positive change.
I think this site/organization is wonderful!!!
Love the 4Real Kenya dvd as well....looking forward to checking out the rest of the collection 4Real has to offer.

I am now also a big fan of Salim Mohamed...WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON...MORE FOLKS SHOULD FOLLOW HIS LEAD!!!
