solidaritees studio was established in 2006 by two Edmonton artists who want to expand the imposing and reductive vision of mainstream culture by engaging people through alternative clothing and print media. solidaritees aims to highlight connections between what we live today and what is forgotten by telling the stories that are ignored. These stories are told respectfully through visual representations that honour the messages and memory of fallen leaders, poets and folksingers from what is called the global south. solidaritees are screened on non-sweatshop garments in a local unionized environment. In the solidaritees production model everyone is justly compensated for their work and the result is a quality 100% cotton t-shirt with an inspiring concept that is sure to attract attention and encourage people to ask questions.
