Boona Baana Center for Children's Rights is a grassroots organization based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Our main project is a children's home for ten children, aged 7 to 15, who have been orphaned or abandoned. Few of the kids have any identifiable family members and all have lost both their parents. Believe it or not, making noise can create positive change in our communities. Unfortunately creating change through government can be painfully slow and bureaucratic. That being said, it doesn’t mean that letting them know how you feel won’t make a difference. These elected officials are supposed to be responsible for the people and answer to the people, so in essence they work for us!!...
